I have asked this question before and at the risk of asking a stupid question, I will ask it again. How can over $44,000,000.00 of our taxpayers’ money be allocated to pay for peace and shootings are still taking place? Why are those on the peace still in possession of firearms and why is the street saying that more peace money means bigger and better weapons? Maybe it’s just me, but the Maths is way too hard for me.
I am thinking that if the hut at Port Zante cost a whopping quarter million dollars to build, imagine how much the KFC road expansion project has cost us so far. Whenever it is actually completed, I will bet any money that we, taxpayers, would have paid more than ten million dollars for it. I saw some freshly painted orange circles in certain areas of this project and felt happy that the roadworks had recommenced. Weeks later, nothing more has happened.
Just like Eugene Hamilton and the two missing houses. What story is that? Shawn never knew that a quarter of a million dollar hut was being built at Port Zante and he has the text messages as proof. Now Eugene thought he had paid for twenty-four houses but only got twenty-two. I imagine that he too has the text messages to show that he never knew that only twenty-two houses were being built for the price of twenty-four. All these ministers are doing is checking their bank accounts every pay day. There is no interest in anything else. No regular updates. No regular site visits. Nothing. Just a set of photo-ops in some hard hats to give the impression that they know what is going on. We deserve better.
