BASSETERRE, St. Kitts (Friday 29th October 2021) — A recent situation involving an alleged self-threat emergency in the St. Peter’s community on Monday 25th October 2021 was successfully responded to by first responders from the St. Kitts and Nevis Fire and Rescue Services and police officers, who gained access to a locked room and safely removed a female from the house before transporting her for treatment. Eyewitness accounts indicated the woman had locked herself in a room and said she was going to harm herself. Fire officers used a water hose technique in carrying out the safe rescue. An armed female soldier of the St. Kitts-Nevis Defence Force was also present guarding outside the property.
