Cricket West Indies named Courtney Walsh as the new Head Coach of the West Indies Women’s team, who will lead the team through the next two ICC Women’s World Cups in 2022. Walsh is the leading wicket-taker in West Indies Test history with 519 wickets in 132 Tests and is a member of the ICC Hall of Fame. He said: “This is indeed an honour to be named as the new Head Coach. The experience I have, my knowledge of the game, and my overall organisational skills will be key aspects as we try to develop a winning team culture. The ability and talent are there; we have some fantastic players in the West Indies.” He has previously served as Bowling Coach for the St Kitts & Nevis Patriots in the CPL.
