Fire Destroys Thibou Avenue Home

BASSETERRE, St.Kitts (FEBRUARY 2018) -A Thibou Avenue resident was thrust into a state of shock on Tuesday February 13th after hearing that his house was on fire.

The man, identified as Job Phillip, was the lone occupant of a wooden and concrete structure.

In an exclusive interview with Philip, he told this media house that he left for work that day and was alerted of the fire via telephone.

“I went to work that morning and while at work someone called me on my phone and said my house was on fire,” Philip said.

He further revealed that the entire structure was gutted by the flames thus destroying all of its contents.

“Everything burn, I ain leave with now nothing,” he added.

“I just want to thank the Man up above that I wasn’t at home at the time of the fire or maybe I might not have been here right now talking to you, it hit me hard but I have life so I will come back from this”, he continued.

The tragedy took place sometime after 1:00 PM. A unit from the St. Kitts-Nevis Fire and Rescue Services responded to the call and extinguished the flames.

The cause of the fire remains unknown.
