BASSETERRE, St. Kitts-(Wednesday 27th December 2023) – Via a live media unveiling session, members of the St. Kitts-Nevis National Carnival Committee (SKNNCC) publicised same-day results following the J’ouvert troupe category and Road March competitions – held on Tuesday 26th December, 2023.
That day Carnival Chairperson Shannon Hawley, Carnival Director Clement ‘Monarch’ O’garro and Chair of the Street Activities Leonard Lestrade made an appearance at ZIZ radio with host St. Claire ‘Chico’ Guishard in sharing such details which also aw a live social media video streaming.
Chairperson Hawley was handed the results envelope by the auditor which included Small Axe Band getting winning spotlights for Road March and a troupe category. As announced, with the hit song ‘Showcase’, Small Axe Band captured the coveted Road March title gaining a total of 816 points and a prize of $20,000.
Following was the Grand Masters Band in second position with hit ‘Happy’ at a total of 751 points and a prize of $15,000, while Nu Vybes got the 3rd position with
definitely pushing for ‘Ken and Barbie’ but I’m not going to lie, ‘Happy’ [by Grand Masters] is a very good song and ‘Pressure’ [by Kollision Band] is up there as well but ‘Ken and Barbie’ from Nu Vybes for me.
