BASSETERRE, St. Kitts (Monday 18th December 2023)- Two more young men in their twenties have been charged by police in relation to the November 2023 double homicide in the St. Peter’s community, bringing it to three males in police custody to date. 24-year-old Iniajii ‘Hollie’ Henry, of Shadwell and 26year-old Jahvin ‘Pony’ Lake of Shadwell, each on two (2) warrants for the offence of Murder, have been arrested and charged in connection with the deaths of 23-yearold Lequani T.
James and 24-year-old Kevin Collins both of Upper Monkey Hill, St. Peter’s were gunned down on Wednesday 22nd November. Henry and Lake were charged at the Basseterre Police Station on Thursday 14th December which came one day after two (2) Murder charges that were laid against Shomari ‘Jelly Man’ Hanley also of Shadwell on Wednesday 13th December at the Basseterre Police Station.
On the day in question, law enforcement officers responding to the scene in Upper Monkey Hill observed two (2) males laying on the ground with – NEWS5 multiple gunshot wounds about their bodies, and that they were shortly identified. Both succumbed to their injuries at the scene. 21-year-old Kejaun Connanier of Carty Alley, Newtown was left injured in the aftermath of that shooting incident, sustaining gunshot injuries to both legs.
It is understood that the incident took place sometime before 12noon that day.
