BASSETERRE (Friday 2nd October 2020) — New principal of the Verchilds High School and CXC registrar Miguel Thomas has expressed serious dissatisfaction with some 2020 CSEC graded results for his school, calling for justice. He noted a student who did not attempt a component of an exam receiving a Grade One; two students with the lowest SBA score for a subject registering Grade Ones while students with the highest scores received lower grades; and one student recording a Grade One with one A and two Cs in the profile. Thomas said: “For one of the strongest cohorts that I have ever entered, they returned the poorest results in my teaching career.” He has penned a letter to CXC through appropriate channels.
