St Kitts Nevis set to compete in the 18th Annual St Maarten Budget Marine Optimist Dinghy Championships

The St Kitts and Nevis Sailing Association is pleased to announce that St Kitts and Nevis will be represented by three sailors at the upcoming 2023 Budget Marine Optimist Dinghy Championships hosted by the Sint Maarten Yacht Club in Simpson Bay November 25th & 26th. The St Maarten Budget Marine Optimist Dinghy Championships is renowned for its well run event and competition hosting countries and Islands from around the region.

This regatta is an AHO qualifier for the Opti World Championships. This year, St Kitts and Nevis is being represented in the orange fleet by Greyson Burrell and Abhijith Srinivasan. In the blue (advanced) fleet, St Kitts and Nevis is being represented by Skyla Connor.

These three athletes were selected to represent based on the results of the St Kitts and Nevis National Dinghy Championships that took place in Oualie Bay, Nevis on 1st and 2nd of July, 2023. They have been preparing through extra training sessions for this event.

The St Kitts and Nevis Sailing Association would like to thank the St Kitts Nevis National Olympic Committee in their continuous support for this event and in the sport of sailing. We wish these children fair winds and the best wishes at this upcoming competition.
