BASSETERRE, St. Kitts (Wednesday 6th September 2023)-At age 79, well-known family man, businessman, political activist of the St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party (SKNLP) and social activist Mr. Rudolph Morton better known as ‘Pa’ or ‘Rudy’, was laid to rest on Monday 4th September 2023 at the Springfield Cemetery in Basseterre.
The service of was held at the Warner Park Cricket Stadium, which saw a broad section of people from all walks of life paying their respect to their loved one, – LOCAL NEWS – friend, colleague and comrade including Governor General Dame Marcella Liburd and Prime Minister and SKNLP Leader Dr. Terrance Drew, along with other government ministers and other officials.
Bishop Cyprian Williams of the New Birth Gospel Tabernaclea longtime friend of Mr. Morton-delivered the pastoral message. Notably, Mr. Morton was a trustee of the worker’s representative organisation, the St. Kitts-Nevis Trades and Labour Union whose executive members were 7
