The Lawrence School of Music will hold its Annual Pianoforte Concert on , at St George’s Anglican Church. For 38 years, the students of the music school have presented an evening of music, much to the delight of many.
This year, the concert will feature classical music, folk tunes, opera, hymns, Christmas in July, patriotic music, and original compositions by Lady Lawrence – all rendered by piano, violin and singing. The Lawrence School of Music is a pillar of the local music establishment, training musicians and singers for decades.
Our musicians and singers have gone on to make their own contributions locally, regionally and internationally. The annual concert is a fundraiser for various community causes. Due to its concerts and the generosity of the students, over the years, the music school has made quite substantial contributions to a wide cross-section of causes including churches, youth organisations and individuals and families with varying needs such as medical needs, assistance following a house fire and a food voucher programme.
This year, St Peter’sAnglican Church will benefit from the proceeds of this year’s concert. The Music School’s students are generous with their God-given talents and their time. “Through the participation of our students, the Music School touches every corner of our country,” said Lady Lawrence, of the Lawrence School of Music, “and we do it with joy.” The Lawrence School of Music thanks everyone for their continued support.
