BASSETERRE, St. Kitts (Thursday 20th April 2023) – A man in his late 50s has reportedly died after sustaining injuries following a day time boating accident in Nevis. Ishmael Hanley, a 58-year old JessupsVillage resident.
The RSCNPF (Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force) received the report of a boating incident occurring just off the coast of Nevis on Wednesday 19th April 2023. Investigations have since revealed that Hanley succumbed to injuries inflicted by the propeller of a passing boat.
As indicated, the report stated that at approximately 1:45pm that day, a boat bearing the name ‘Point Proven’ belonging to the company, Islander Water Sports, was near the Nevis coast and travelling towards the Four Seasons Resort on Nevis. On board were two (2) crew members, seven (7) guests, and the captain.
