As part of its ongoing commitment to developing strong, effective leaders, the TDC Human Resources Department hosted a comprehensive three-day Leadership Training Programme from 15th through 17th June 2026, under the theme “Leading Through People: Practical Leadership Skills for Management.” Designed to strengthen leadership capabilities at all levels of management, the workshop brought together supervisors, middle managers and executive leaders in dedicated sessions tailored to their unique roles. Training sessions were facilitated by renowned Regional Business Strategist and Leadership Consultant Ms. Dana Hayes-Burke and were held at the TDC Training Room on Fort Street, Basseterre. Employees engaged in interactive discussions, practical exercises and real-world leadership scenarios focused on enhancing communication, team engagement, decision-making, accountability, conflict resolution and people-centred leadership practices.

Senior Human Resources Officer Mrs. Andrea James Wattley noted that investing in leadership development remains a key priority: “Strong leadership is fundamental to the continued growth and success of our organization. By equipping our leaders with practical skills and contemporary management strategies, we are strengthening our ability to inspire teams, enhance performance, and create a workplace culture where employees can thrive.” Facilitator Ms. Hayes-Burke encouraged participants to view leadership as a continuous journey of learning, self-awareness and service to others, challenging attendees to examine their leadership styles, embrace accountability and develop practical approaches to leading teams in today’s dynamic business environment.
