BASSETERRE, St.Kitts (Friday 30th March 2018) – The Event Coordinator of the upcoming annual Basil Henderson Easter Monday Aquatic Sports Meet, Winston ‘Zack’ Nisbett, says plans and preparation for this year’s 60th annual event are going quite well.
The yearly outdoorsy experience is slated to take place on Monday 2nd April at the Basseterre Ferry Terminal, starting at 9 AM.
“Things have been going more than good,” he said to this reporter recently whilst pointing out that he has been making his usual gift collection errands at the various sponsors and partners who have contributed towards the prize giving aspect of the event held immediately after the meet.
Nisbett said he remains grateful for such support from both the business community and individuals alike who help year after year in making the event successful in giving tokens of appreciation to the valued winners and other participants.
Included on the list of activities for the meet are the traditional swimming races like butterfly, breast stroke and back stroke. Additionally, all-time spectator favourites namely the ham fetch competition, the horizontal greased pole and the boxing exhibition are set to take place.
According to Nisbett, patrons can expect lots of creativity displayed in the organisation of the event which promises to be fun-filled.
Nisbett has also informed that as usual safety and security will be of paramount importance.
