BASSETERRE (Friday 18th December 2020) — St. Kitts and Nevis is among 23 countries participating in a 2020 Virtual Taiwan Trade Fair expo, following the cancellation of the physical event due to COVID-19. The launch ceremony was hosted by the Taiwan Technical Mission on Friday 11th December 2020, showcasing the online platform designed by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA). Resident Taiwan Ambassador Tom Lee said the virtual platform allows Taiwanese suppliers to digitally present their products to the public of St. Kitts and Nevis, offering flexibility and more options to potential buyers. Chamber President Giselle Matthews noted it “opens up an avenue for many people who would not have been able to attend the expo for whatever reasons.” The virtual expo is accessible at https://bit.ly/TW-Expo.
