RSCNPF AND SKNDF APPREHEND JAMAICAN FUGITIVES IN JOINT OPERATIONS

The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF), in collaboration with the St. Kitts-Nevis Defence Force (SKNDF), has successfully apprehended two fugitives wanted in Jamaica in connection with serious violent offences. Kemar Matthews and Chevone Brown were apprehended in St. Kitts during two separate joint operations on May 18th and 20th, 2026. Both individuals are wanted by Jamaican authorities on charges of murder and wounding with intent. By 1 PM on Wednesday May 21st, both men had been repatriated to Jamaica. The RSCNPF reaffirmed: “The Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis is not, and will not be, a haven for individuals seeking to evade justice for serious criminal offences committed elsewhere.”

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts — MFCR Old Road United Jets have etched their names into the history books after capturing the 2025/2026 National Bank Group/SKNFA Premier League title, completing the season unbeaten — the first club in the Premier League era to achieve the feat in St. Kitts and Nevis football. Old Road sealed the championship on Sunday May 17 at the National Bank Group Technical Center with a commanding 4-2 victory over Development Bank St. Peters FC. The club’s talisman Tiquanny Williams scored a hat-trick in the 24th, 41st and 61st minutes, finishing the season as league top scorer, league MVP and Final Four Playoffs MVP. Head Coach Alexis Morris said: “As long as this team stays together, there will be more victories and more history to be made. We’re going to get bigger.” The championship triumph also caps an extraordinary domestic campaign in which Old Road lifted their second FA Cup title. Also: Four SKNOC sport administrators — Brenda Allen, Diane Browne, Sharon St. Luce and Damian Bacchus — successfully completed an intensive eight-month IOC-commissioned Safeguarding in Sport certification programme, officially earning certification as Safeguarding Officers.
