BASSETERRE, St.Kitts (MARCH 2018) – A fresh video posted on the popular video-sharing Youtube is putting across visual evidence- captured from different angles- in support of claims that well-known Jamaican Dancehall artiste Aidonia was not a target of a violent bottle throwing incident which took place on Fort Street last Friday night (23rd March) which allegedly involved rival gang members.

Information reaching this media house indicates that the incident took place shortly before 9PM or a little past the hour that night while he was mingling with fans as part of a meet and greeting promotion outing for the Guinness Knockshore Night concert for Sandy Point’s Black San Bang-A-Lang community festival of which he was this year’s headline performer.

Under an account by ‘Di Streetz TV’, a Jamaican entertainment media house, video footage during the incident is branded with the water of the artiste’s record label called 4th Genna has been complied by the artiste’s management team.  Footage from Adionia’s live interview on Freedom FM (106.5) with popular media entertainment personality Michelle ‘Sweet Sister Sensia’ Stokes-conducted the next day (Saturday) follows after.

In the video, arrows are used to point to a particular popular young man from the Basseterre community who was alleged the target of attackers.

One arrow indicated “They Attack Him” in reference to the alleged intended target not being Aidonia while another arrow showed “Blood” after that young man was allegedly struck by the flung bottle.

The voice of the popular media personality Jason ‘Pinocchio’ Mitcham can be heard over the over a microphone saying “You see how you all just mess up everything for everybody.”

What is more the artiste’s management team has also released a statement quashing rumours that he was attacked while visiting the Federation.

“Contrary to a surfeit to spurious reports being perpetuated online that 4th Genna Recording artiste Aidonia was attacked during a recent stint in St.Kitts. We would like to advise the masses that these allegations are false and aimed at sullying the entertainer’s reputation,” the release read.

It went on to say: “What actually occurred is Aidonia was in attendance at a meet and greet where fans came out in their droves to see one of their favourite dancehall star including members of two rival factions who decided to unfortunately attack each other at the gathering. Thankfully the quick action of Aidonia and his team averted him getting injured in the melee.”

Shortly following the incident that night, a cellphone recorded video circulated via social media in particular WhatsApp and Facebook, shows the artiste ducking within seconds of a bottle seemingly tossed in his direction.

Hence, gossip went viral locally and regionally that an attacker aimed at him specifically which became a trending news topic.

Appearing on Freedom FM for another leg of concert promotion, host Sweet Sister Sensia used the opportunity to “clear the air” amidst rumour saying “It had nothing to do with Aidonia.”

Aidonia condemned the violent incident indicating that others including children could have gotten hurt others including himself.

“We know how vibes go and we know how it go when man buck up but you haffi know how fi hold it more times,” he said.

In a light-hearted moment, the artiste who escaped unharmed said “but true we used to the streets and we swift..”

He was quickly escorted to an awaiting white limo during the incident.

Aidonia is the artiste behind current hit jams like ‘Breeze’ and ‘Yeah Yeah’.

As gathered by this media house from video footage of the event, the Knockshore concert held last Saturday night (24th March) was filled with much enjoyment for party-goers gathered at the Sandy Point Hard Court venue.

A highlight moment saw both upcoming and well-known local artistes such as Scratchi Bamma, I Mark, Rodney (also known as Tat Tat) and Artikal performing with Aidonia for the ‘Yeah Yeah’ tune.

Before that particular segment, Aidonia got offstage getting up close with his fans and in doing so interacted with Scratchi Bamma which sparked an invitation for full stage presentation with the homegrown entertainers which sent the audience wild with excitement.
