Basseterre, St. Kitts, June 3, 2021 (RSCNPF) — Commissioner of Police Colin John of The Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force has expressed appreciation for a donation received from The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force and the Police Cooperative Credit Union. The donation consisted of a cheque for $25,000 — comprising $10,000 from the PCCU and $15,000 collected from police officers — along with 600 face masks, presented by Inspector James Stephen at the head of the SKN contingent serving with the Regional Security System’s Peacekeeping Mission in SVG.
RSCNPF Commissioner Hilroy Brandy asked the contingent to convey his concern for the safety and wellbeing of the SVG officers before the team departed on 29 May: “This shows that in times of disaster we wanted to contribute to the men and women of the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force.” Commissioner John said: “We know money is hard to come by and you can also find use for it, but the members of these organisations took their hard-earned cash and donated it to us in a time of our greatest need.”
