NIA Charlestown: Public Warned To Adhere To COVID-19 Protocols As New Local Case Confirmed

NIA CHARLESTOWN NEVIS (May 20, 2021) — Against the backdrop of the confirmed local COVID-19 case in St. Kitts and Nevis, health and law enforcement authorities on both islands are urging persons to get vaccinated and to practise the recommended protection and prevention measures. The CMO confirmed that Case 46 is a hotel industry worker with no travel history who is in stable isolation. As at 19th May 2021, on Nevis, 3,515 persons had taken their first dose of the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine and 1,362 had received their second dose. St. Kitts and Nevis has had 46 confirmed COVID-19 cases in total — 32 on St. Kitts and 14 on Nevis — with no reported deaths. Forty-five of those cases are fully recovered. Police Superintendent Henry announced the cancellation of all approved events effective immediately.
