This is a follow-up to the Labour Spokesman’s earlier report on the bailing of Deputy Labour Commissioner Dr. Deon Webb and four former employees of the Police Cooperative Credit Union in connection with investigations into alleged fraudulent payments of over EC$1.18 million from the government’s Severance Payment Fund during May and June 2020. The five individuals were granted bail of $60,000 with two sureties on 5th October. Among the various charges, all face Conspiracy to Commit Money Laundering by Possession. The accused return to court on December 7, 2020.
