BASSETERRE, St. Kitts (Thursday 25th April 2024)- During his Roundtable media interview session on Wednesday 24th April 2024, Prime Minister and Minister of National Security Dr. Terrance Drew, delivered a message emphasizing the value of every life in urging young men to steer clear of criminal activities that result in tragedy.
“Let me say that this government and me personally, we will work as hard as possible because every life is precious.” He added: “Every life is precious… and we have to work to preserve every life. And so I want to encourage our young people, especially our young men, to not get involved in these types of criminal activities that lead to death and destruction and hospitalization and trauma,” expressed Dr.
Drew. Additionally, during his plea, he urged to “choose positive ways and positive paths” and take advantage of the opportunities available in St. Kitts and Nevis. “I want you to know that your life matters to me, it matters to us, your life is precious.
Guard it, protect it. And we want you, of course, to live a fruitful life here in St. Kitts and Nevis,” he emphasized. Highlighting the government’s approach to addressing violence, Dr. Drew outlined forthcoming initiatives aimed at tackling the issue from a public health perspective.
