BASSETERRE (Friday 2nd October 2020) — Prime Minister Dr. Timothy Harris announced at his monthly press conference on Thursday 1st October that the Federation’s borders will be fully opened on October 31st, 2020. Works at the Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport began on Monday 28th September, including constructing a welcome centre on the ramp, converting the VIP Lounge into the medical screening area, and adding sneeze guards on counters — all to be completed by October 26th. “We open our borders not just for tourists or hoteliers. We do this to allow our nationals and residents abroad the opportunity to return home to their families, their jobs and their communities in a more regular and predictable way,” Harris said. St. Kitts-Nevis is currently designated by the CDC as a very low-risk travel destination.
