BASSETERRE, St. Kitts (Monday 27th March 2023) – “As we emerged from the pandemic and all were looking forward to a brand new beginning with the reopening of the country and the economy, we were forced into an early election as the Team Unity construct collapsed for reason I would not go into at this time.” So said newly resigned Deputy Leader of the People’s Labour Party (PLP) Akilah Byron-Nisbett-past parliamentary representative for Constituency Three – in recent public social media video whereby she indicated that as of March 24th 2023, she is no longer a part of the executive nor member of that party.
