Police Seek Help In Fort Street Bottling Throwing

Basseterre, St. Kitts (Sunday 1st April 2018)- Police are seeking the assistance of the general public in trying to resolve the matter which involved several persons pelting bottles at each other near a popular bar on Fort Street.

The incident which attracted public scrutiny and condemnation occurred on May 23rd and interrupted a ‘Meet and greet’ where fans gathered to show support to popular Jamaican artiste, Aidonia.

Videos recorded of the brief commotion showed young men throwing the bottles at each other while persons caught innocently in the brawl ran for cover.

According to the authorities no damage to property was reported however a large crowd was gathered and the incident disrupted the peace hence the perpetrators must be death with.

“An incident that occurred in downtown Basseterre has been brought to the attention of the Police and an investigation has been launched to find out who was involved,” an official police release has stated.

As such, an investigation is being carried out and the Police are seeking the assistance of anyone who might have information regarding the incident.

Persons who can help are asked to call the Basseterre Police Station at 465-2241.
