Men Charged After Workplace Wounding

 BASSETERRE, St.Kitts (MARCH 2018) – Two of the three persons involved in two separate stabbing incidents that occurred in Frigate Bay at a particular workplace in late February have been charged.

According to police, Frank Joseph of New Road Housing was charged for the offence of Inflicting Grievous Bodily Harm, while Shackiel Jeffers of Ponds Pasture was charged for the offence of Wounding with Intent.

Both were charged on Saturday 2nd March.

Police say Joseph has since received bail in the sum of $10,000 with two sureties and is to appear before the Basseterre Magistrate Court on April 09, 2018.  Reportedly, he was bailed on the condition that he stays 100ft away from the Virtual Complainant and 20ft away from his home.  He is also to have no contact with the Virtual Complainant.

The local authorities have informed that on Friday 23rd On February, police responded to two reports involving three individuals, two of which were injured.

It is said that in one report, investigations revealed that Kajel Jospeh was at work at a business place in Frigate Bay when he had an argument with Shackiel Jeffers who then stabbed him with a knife several times about the body.

Joseph was taken to the J.N.F. Hospital for treatment.

Police have further disclosed that in the next report, investigations revealed that Shackiel Jeffers was subsequently beaten with a hammer and stabbed several times about the body by another worker at the same establishment.

Reportedly That worker has since been identified as Frank Joseph. Jeffers was also taken to the J.N.F. Hospital for treatment.  Both incidents occurred on Friday, February 23, 2018.
