How Did Street Cleaner Found Dead In Drain Die?

BASSETERRE, St.Kitts (Tuesday 9th October 2018)-An autopsy has found what led to death of a 56-year-old street cleaner named John Gumbs of Pond Road in East Bassterre.

This week, police revealed that Forensic Pathologist Dr. Valery Alexandrov who performed a post-mortem on Thursday 4th October, concluded that his death was as a result of multiple stab wounds to the body.

Police say Gumbs’ body was found lying in a drain on Branch Street in Newtown on Monday 1st October with several stab wounds.

Investigations into the matter are ongoing and the police are urging persons with information regarding this incident to call the Violent Crimes Unit at 467-1887, 467-1888, or 662-3468 or the nearest Police Station.
