Newcomer, Usual Runner Compete For Nevis District 5 Seat

BASSETERRE, St.Kitts (Friday 28th February 2020) – Come next week, voters of District 5 (St.Thomas’) in Nevis are expected to go to the polls in a by-election to choose either newcomer Cleone Stapleton- Simmonds of the opposition Nevis Reformation Party (NRP) running on a parish stronghold ticket or now four-times runner Keith ‘Dis an Dat’ Scarborough of the incumbent Concerned Citizens Movement (CCM) as their parliamentary representative.

On Tuesday 25th February 2020, both candidates were officially nominated at the Cotton Ground Community Center ahead of the Thursday 5th March 2020 poll day in the local Nevis Island Assembly.

Premier Mark Brantley (leader of CCM), at his monthly press conference held yesterday (Thursday), pointed out that the by-election “has become necessary because of course Mr. Joseph Walcott Parry who was the elected representative for Nevis 5 has decided to step aside and therefore with three years left to go, the good people of St. Thomas parish will have a decision to make on the 5th of March in terms of who they elect to be their representative.”

Parry’s retirement letter effective 31st December 2019 gave way for the by-election timeframe in accordance with provisions of the constitution of St. Kitts and Nevis.

In an exclusive interview with Stapleton- Simmonds when contacted at the NRP’s Headquarters, she described her nomination day as a “wonderful and historic moment”.

When asked about her confidence level, she replied “Well, I would say that my confidence level is high but I’m very cautious because of course you can’t take anything for granted.”

Explaining further why she is caution, she pointed out that the St. Thomas seat “has predominantly been an NRP seat so there is a high level of confidence but I have to treat it like any other fight.”

Quizzed about what makes her the better candidate of choice for voters, the new NRP runner said: “I represent youth, energy and perhaps change. I have the ability to secure a better future for Nevis towards a visionary scope and nation building.”

Commenting on how she feels about filling the seat previously held by former Premier Parry, she told: “I am honoured that Mr. Parry has recommended me. I have known him for many years; he is like a father figure to me. It is a sense of honour being able to carry on the baton …I’m aware that his boots are some big ones to fill but I will do my best. I wish to carry on his legacy of serving with integrity and representing for all Nevisians.”

Attempts to get in touch with Scarborough before press time were unsuccessful.

A press release issued by the NIA (Nevis Island Administration) on nomination day (25th February), however, quotes him (Scarborough) as saying:  “My thoughts are very positive and I believe with my nomination, it gives the good people of St. Thomas’ an opportunity to vote for someone who will go into government. Like I have said elsewhere, both of the candidates would want to see St. Thomas’ do well, grow from strength to strength, improving its development but the difference is that one would go into Opposition if successful and the other one go into government if successful. So it’s a simple choice that the people of St. Thomas’ really have and I am been feeling good. I have been doing the legwork through the community and the response has been positive thus far, and I’m hoping that come March 5th that we will very well see St. Thomas’ being represented in the Nevis Island Administration.”

Additionally, in expressing victory confidence in favour of his party, Premier Brantley at this week’s press conference remarked: “Whatever happens on the 5th of March, he (Scarborough) will remain in government for at least the next three years and so we continue to invite the good people of St. Thomas parish to vote wisely and make a wise decision.”

According to him: “We have said that they have a choice. In a democracy, we always have a choice and their choice is to send their representative to government. I believe we have made the choice and will continue to make the choice down to election that it is better to send their representative to government and cabinet where a chair is already waiting for him.”

Opposition candidate Stapleton-Simmonds, however, is of the view that a parliamentary representative does not need to be in cabinet to get things done in St. Thomas’.

She has publicly gave the view that whilst she accepts that her party is not in government, the people will still have a voice through her as their elected representative noting that she is prepared to fight for their development.

Aquatic Sports Head Organiser Says Plans On Track

BASSETERRE, St.Kitts (Friday 29th February 2020)- The coordinator of the upcoming Annual Basil Henderson 62nd Easter Monday Aquatic Sport Meet, Winston ‘Zack’ Nisbett better known as ‘The Doctor of Culture’, has expressed that plans are on track for the  yearly event which he says fosters family togetherness.

“It’s important that I start early because it’s a major sporting endeavour,” he stated during an interview this week, ahead of the well-anticipated event slated to take place come Monday 13th April 2020 at the Ferry Terminal, starting at 9 a.m.

He had stopped by this media house while making his outreach rounds to the usual sponsors within the business community in seeking renewed partnership this time around.

“The event creates an environment for close bonding family relationships in bringing families closer on a day when they can relax and laugh and look at and also participate in the traditional swimming races, the fetching of the ham and the climbing of the greased pole and a number of other water sports as well as the exhibition boxing. There will be a lot of games and prizes for the children such as eating the bun, dog and bone, hula-hoop and much more,” Nisbett added.

In speaking further about the positive impact of the annual outdoorsy affair, he commented: “It’s good clean fun. It gives young people something positive to do and they do get to go home with gift prizes instantaneously and they don’t have to pay an entry fee which is a good thing and has been the tradition over the years.

He listed some of the top prizes presented over the years including cash, televisions, cellphones and weed eaters collectively contributed by the various business places and individuals.

The event coordinator said that the popular greasy pole competitions have attracted monetary cash reward from the Scenic Railway who also donates complimentary tour prizes and RAMS Supermarket and John Richard who give ham donations for the horizontal greasy pole event.

“The grease – such an important element of the event – is being given annually by TDC automotive. Thanks also to the Electricity Company SKELEC for supplying the horizontal pole annually. Numerous other prizes will be given for the other events.”

Other sponsors and partners include Courts, SCASPA, Ministry of Health, Red Cross, Coast Guard Unit, Diamond Security, Hobson Enterprise, Kitts Bottling Company, Carib Brewery, China Town and Builders Paradise.

Nisbett shared that the annual aquatic sports meet “commemorates the life and times of a venerable patriarch, who gave his whole being to the 4-H organization, which he started and nurtured in St. Kitts and Nevis.”

He pointed out that he (Nisbett) is supported by “several dedicated volunteers” including Earl Clarke who has been a stalwart 4-H’er for over 40 years.

Workers (People), it seems that some of us are beginning to forget how to read and write the characters, the comprise (to be made up) and the beautiful calligraphy (hand writing) of traditional language.

Hello! Some are calling this phenomenon (any remarkable occurrence) “character” (a combination of quality), amnesia (loss of memory). This might sound a bit funny but the heavy usage of computers and smart phones often means that writing is neglected and some can no longer remember the character s they learned in their school days.

Hear this: A friend of mine some months ago that she doesn’t write anything by hand anymore except for her name and address.  What I am saying is when faced with a dilemma (a situation offering a choice), we seem to forget the right thing to do and instead choose the easy way out.

People! If life appeals to you, let nothing hold you back from gaining the knowledge, and this is why I write because I thought of sharing the above with you all. Let’s move on.

I have been saying this all the time; there is really no substitute for work and every effort must be made to put the hands of the workers to useful and profitable employment.

This is one of the major priorities and every effort must be forged to make it possible for the worker to earn a decent living. My people, wake up! I am very serious, and please allow me to point out that this is a fact for every industrial job in St.Kitts-Nevis. To my mind, there may be three or four people willing, able and in need of work and another six or seven dependents relying on the bread winner. What does this means?

Competition is fierce (very aggressive or angry) with a result that pressures (demands put on the worker to compromise (settlement) when it comes to his or her health and safety. This occurs sometimes knowingly but more often than out of ignorance. For example, jobs and wages on one side and conditions and occupational safety and health on the other. All I am saying it that there needs to be the right balance. Ok!

Before I close, I am going to say one more thing: If the problem of employment and wages in St.Kitts-Nevis are well known then what about Health and Safety.

Until next week.

Police: Driver in Valentine’s Day Hit-And-Run Did Not Have Valid License

0

BASSETERRE, St.Kitts (Friday 28th February 2020) – A male scooter driver of a recent hit and run accident, who struck a female pedestrian injuring her on Valentine’s Day (Friday 14th February 2020) along the Bay Road in Basseterre, did not have a valid driver’s license, according to police.

Apart from the three charges laid against 23-year-old Sylvester Caines of Nevis Street currently out on bail, police say he is expected to be summons for three additional offenses.

Six days after that hit and run incident, the suspect who was being sought was  arrested and charged in the traffic matter involving pedestrian Sahara Bussue Ugboh of McKnight. She is believed to be in her 20s or 30s.

According to the local authorities, the incident occurred in the vicinity of the roundabout at Port Zante. Police say Ugboh was left with minor injuries after she was struck by a scooter while crossing the street. She was treated at the JNF Hospital and discharged.

Furthermore, as reported, police at the Traffic Department have charged Caines for the offences of Careless Driving, Failing to Report a Traffic Accident within 24 hours and Failing to Stop at the said accident.

He was charged on Thursday 20th February and has since been released on bail.

Police say Caines was also informed that he will receive a summons for the offences of Driving a Vehicle Without a Valid Licence, Driving a Vehicle Without Insurance and Driving an Unregistered Vehicle. The scooter used in the incident is currently in Police custody.

A video captured from a vehicle dash camera, circulated on social media, shows when the woman is hit as she falls to the ground while carrying her shopping plastic bag from RAMS supermarket and also what appears to be her work bag. This media house understands that the truck driver whose video recording captured the accident came to a stop to allow the pedestrian, who was making her way from the supermarket, to cross the street.

After colliding with the pedestrian, the driver is seen briefly losing control of the scooter before switching from the westerly street lane in continuing his east direction travel. A male outside the supermarket is also observed assisting the woman who gets up on her own-without her bags- while holding her face following the impact.

Head of the Traffic Department Superintendent Trevor Mills is urging motorists to adhere to all traffic laws and to drive cautiously.

“The Traffic Department is an integral part of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force. We will continue to enforce the traffic laws and ensure that persons who break the laws are brought to justice. I take this opportunity to ask all motorists to drive with due care and caution, acknowledge speed limits, exercise patience, extend road courtesy and to have consideration for other road users. The life you save might just be your own,” he says.

Workers (People), what’s the good news today? I ask that question sometimes of people I know. If the person is a good person friend of mine, he or she might smilingly reply “The same as it was yesterday.”

God loves us and both and I rejoice that it will be the same tomorrow. Those of you who don’t know Christ though, don’t have such good news to share.

Hello, we can’t understand why this pessimistic novelist T.C Boyles says if God doesn’t exist and you have no purpose on earth then it’s a mighty mean place ruled by accident.

Workers (People), I like to have good news for you all. Hello! Despite personal disappointments and the evils we see in this world, life is not just a series of accidents. People, our God is in ultimate control (final in a series or process) making even man’s wrath (intense anger) contribute to the fulfillment of his wise and loving purposes.

Workers (People), I thought of sharing the above with you. To my mind, this on the other hand is encouragement. It can be a powerful friend, it strengthens the weak, imparts courage to the faint hearted and gives hope to the faltering (to stop moving steadily and start moving unsteadily. People don’t give up the struggle.

Before I close, let me point out that nearly everyone who I get intact with concerning this topic, all they saying to me the writings is great, and while I like to hear what you are you saying, how about putting it into practice.

At some workplaces, the noise level is terrible. In adequate lighting we in the Caribbean are faced with hazards of dust, fumes and plenty more.

Hear this: I sad it already and I am saying it again “Money is power”; it is the power of service. That principle, Precious my friend, drives most cultures of the world.

People scramble for wealth often at the price of personal integrity (honesty).

Workers! Are you causing stress at work? People, Listen to me: Spend some time examining my writings and also the ILO (International Labour organisation) experience shows that based on its workers and on its organisational cultures, you and I need in a safe and supportive environment feel better  and healthier  which in turn leads to reduce absenteeism, enhanced motivation, improved productivity  and a positive organisation’s image.

*Note Well* Man may speculate about what will happen next week but God showed us in the Bible that he knows the future. This truth is one reason we can have absolute confidence in the book of books. Continue to the Labour Spokesman.

Thank you.

Police Looking For Rapist

0

BASSETERRE, St.Kitts (Friday 21st February 2020) – Police are currently trying to track down the whereabouts of a man who recently raped a female.

Reportedly, the authorities are investigating that sexual assault incident which occurred in the Basseterre area on Tuesday 11th February 2020 close to 8 p.m.

It is said that the female was attacked and assaulted by a masked male.

Police are making a special appeal to persons who might have any information regarding this incident to contact the Special Victims Unit (SVU) by dialing 465-2241 ext. 4252 and also via cell phone at 665-3091.

Individuals may also contact their nearest Police Station or call the crime hotline at 707 if they have information that can lead to the apprehension of the perpetrator.

In December 2019, this media house conducted an exclusive interview with a well-known security expert and owner of H & H Hodge Security Services Ltd., Juni ‘Scrape’ Hodge, who gave some safety tips for females to keep in mind while walking to and from home or any other locations at nights and even in the day time.

In light of this most recent sexual assault incident, such tips will be spotlighted in this article.

According to Hodge: “Call somebody ahead of the time when you’re going or where you’re going to so as to let them know that you’re on your way so at least the person would be expecting you at a particular time if you are going to walk by yourself.”

“The second thing is get somebody to go with you-preferably an adult- to accompany you. Thirdly, walk in areas that are populated with people, as in where a lot of people are around so that people can see you. Try to avoid the lonely roads and bushy roads and don’t take your time while your walk but instead walk briskly and even if you keep your head straight, keep looking left and right so that you can observe your surroundings and be alert of any suspicious person you see,” he encouraged.

The security expert also advises females that if they have a bag to put their hand in it. On this point, he did not share any further details out of concern not to provide insight to would be perpetrators.

Local Rasta Group Calls For Black Istory Education For Empowerment

0

BASSETERRE, St.Kitts (Friday 21st February 2020) – Public Relations Officer of the Rastafari Nyabinghi Theocracy of His and Her Majesty Ras Iyah has expressed the view that the local education system needs to bring more development to black people.

He shared such sentiments during an interview this week while speaking about the annual Back Istory Month Week of Activities-which incorporates the leap year- to be observed from Sunday 23rd to Saturday 29th February 2020 under the theme: ‘Colonial Educational Curriculum is a threat to Black Empowerment’.

The planned events are as follows: Groundation Nyabinghi Ises at the Sandy Point Market (23rd), Visit to Joseph N. France General Hospital (24th), Visit to Bronte Welsh Primary for Book Donation (25th), Island wide food hamper distribution to the elderly and needy (26th), Visit to Empress Sistah Ijahnya Christian (27th), Visit to the grave sites of the revolutionaries/martyrs (28th) and a closing session at the Sandy Point Farmers Market Nyabinghi at sunset (29th).

Notably, the visit to the primary is expected to see a presentation of black conscious books including locally written ones.

Commenting on this year’s theme, Ras Iyah had this to say: “Reason why we select that theme is to show that the great work that has embraced for our people as black people…what we have before, we are able to bring better structure and stability onto our people when it comes to financial growth, development process and, spiritual levels and able to the educational aspect because we find even to the educational system structure, much of our history don’t safeguard who we are as a people.”

He added: “They have books written as they say ‘The People Who Came First’ but that don’t give any educational perspective to what our people as African decedents and what level we are able to bring more development to the assurance that our people need to have a part of economic stability and a part of development status. We know in the early years, under the colonial aspect of the ruling of England, France and the others fighting for power all in the small territories , they weren’t looking for the safe guard of our people but instead they were looking for the economic prosperity that they can offer us so without us they couldn’t not even be in the position they are today so we say we have to give thanks for our ancestors not just during slavery but before the enslavement because we had greater stride of economic, education and spiritual levels that played a critical role in the society and in our nation development so that is why we say empowerment of our black people is a threat because of the colonial educational curriculum  that is established in our shores as a black nation.”

Additionally, Ras Iyah explained why the term ‘Istory’ instead of ‘History’ is used to highlight the week of activities.

“The reason why we use ‘Istory’ is because we don’t want to embrace history…look at the pattern break down ‘His-tory’; it is bringing to the context something that is forced down to us. When we say Istory, it speaks to the beginning of time not something that came in the era of 2000 years or some kind of 20,000 years; we are coming with centuries impact from the birth context of cosmo living that’s why we say we are dealing with a spiritual level and  no religious thoughts because we are able to enhance our safety for everyone around us.”

Ras Iyah invites members of the public to attend the closing session which is slated to feature cultural presentations including poetry and singing as well as plaque presentations two three honourees within the Rastafari community.

“We love to see that Rastafari shines His light on this event that is embarking on the 23rd to the 29th February in making sure that the theme that we have outlined for the event, enhances our people in a proper way and engage them to safeguard their history in a special and dignifying way that we can be able to outline to our young generation that the theme is showing.”

Former PEP Director Geoffrey Hanley Claims ‘No Corruption’

BASSETERRE, St.Kitts (Friday 21st February 2020) – Dr. Geoffrey Hanley continues to push back against criticisms of money mishandling of the former People Employment Programme (PEP), saying “there were no forms of corruption” during his term as manager.

The candidate for the opposition St.Kitts-Nevis Labour Party (SKNLP) for Constituency One (East Basseterre) responded to a question posed by this media house at the Party’s latest monthly press conference in held in January 2020 concerning allegations going about social media.

“I am happy to report that the PEP programme had a management committee. This committee had all competent professionals; some still continue to serve this present government and maybe even the step programme. There were no forms of corruption taking place in the PEP programme while I managed the PEP programme. I don’t know if they can speak that confidently about the STEP programme.”

He added: “With an organisation like what we had, there must be someone responsible for the financial aspect of it and that would have been in place and that person and the team, they would have been responsible for all of our financial transactions that would have taken place. How could one just take government money and put it in somebody’s account or whatever? All of this, in my view, is utter nonsense.”

Dr. Hanley was the immediate past PEP manager before the change of the SKNLP administration to the now Team Unity government following the February 2015 General Elections. PEP has been changed to STEP (Skills Training Empowerment Program) under the new government.

Additionally, while speaking at the recent SKNLP media event, Dr. Hanley highlighted that he has heard about an investigation being carried out.

“Imagine an investigation taking place in almost five years and I would have been retired almost two years. In government practice, anything  you have against  a civil servant, you use that opportunity to do all your investigation to say if there are any monies or anything that needs to be deducted from your pension, your gratuity…”

According to him, the government wants the general public to lose focus of its corruption.

“What is happening is that they want the general public to lose focus of the corruption that is taking place right now and change their minds in reference to this. All files were handed over to the government so they’re quite aware of exactly what transpired in the programme.”

Meanwhile, at the Prime Minister’s press conference held on Thursday 13th February 2020, when asked by a reporter for an update on the PEP investigation , Prime Minister Dr. Timothy Harris- having called Dr. Hanley’s name- pointed to “substantial sums that have been involved” while making other claims on the alleged issue.

“So that matter is an ongoing matter. What the investigation will reveal at the end, certain we have to allow them to complete…” he said in part whilst also indicating that the investigation has to take “due process and time”.

In November 2018, Dr. Hanley’s political office informed- via a press statement- that he had retained “counsel to pursue legal action against timescaribbeanonline.com and its shady actors for defamation and criminal libel through an article published on its website on November 15, 2018.”

“In Dr. Hanley’s view, the article promulgates an innuendo of wrongdoing on his part in relation to the PEP programme. Dr. Hanley categorically and forthrightly denies any wrongdoing whatsoever over the 28 years of his public service career and calls upon timescaribbeanonline.com, the political mouthpiece of the Dr. Timothy Harris-led administration, to remove the referenced offending article from its website and to refrain from publishing any such false or misleading information about him or his tenure in the public service,” the press statement also included.

Music Festival Teams Up With UberSoca Cruise

0

BASSETERRE, St.Kitts (Friday 21st February 2020) – At the recent Ultimate Release Party for the final wave of acts slated to perform at the upcoming 24th  annual St.Kitts Music Festival in June 2020, a partnership with UberSoca Cruise was announced also for the Thursday night festivity.

The newly announced acts are Gladys Knight, Shenseea, Bunji Garlin and Fay-Ann Lyons, Mr Killa, Patrice Roberts, Asa Banton, Lyrikal, Nailah Blackman, Voice, Future, Beres Hammond, Anthony B, Jhené Aiko along with two national acts 313 and Venelle Powell.

Jimmy Cliff, Koffee, WizKid and Chronixx as well as local jam band Kollision Band were announced in December 2019.

Head the Artistes Selection Committee of the St.Kitts Music Festival Jonel Powell in speaking with media workers following the entertainment news at the Splash Bar venue located at the Royal St. Kitts Hotel in Frigate Bay, gave more details about the first time collaboration with UberSoca Cruise

“This year we’re partnering with the UberSoca Cruise team. Thursday night is going to be St.Kitts Music Festival Thursday night powered by UberSoca and what that means is they’re going to be bringing that UberSoca experience and combine it with our St.Kitts Music Festival experience. Persons who’ve been on UberSoca Cruise would understand exactly what that means and those who have not are going to be in for a treat, something new; we just see all the synergies in the two groups in terms of the target demographic in particular young professional people are more likely to spend on travelling and partying to carnivals and these kinds of things as well as music festivals and so we think it’s a fantastic partnership. Like we said, this year’s St.Kitts and Nevis will be the title sponsor for the fifth anniversary UberSoca Cruise down in November so it’s more than just Music Festival, it’s long term and we think it’s going to be something that would enhance both (experiences).”
Information gleaned from ubersocacruise.com says: “Ubersoca cruise is the largest soca festival at sea!”

According to a summed up description of the event: “The 6 day, 5-night cruise experience fuses the energy and excitement of a Caribbean carnival with the feel of a luxury cruise. ubersoca cruise features non-stop soca fetes and the best soca entertainers in the world: an ‘experience beyond the music’! with over 50 events including a pre-party, live concerts, themed-parties, midnight mas, a J’ouvert, sports competitions, comedy shows, pool parties and panel discussions, USC is the ultimate carnival experience!”

Asked by this reporter how easy it was to announce the full line-up early, Powell commented: “Not easy at all. We literally started booking some of these artistes before last year’s Music Festival. It’s been a long process, a lot of research, a lot of negotiating but at the end of the day the reaction from the crowd shows that we are on the right track and we’re feeling confident for the success of this Music Festival.”

Organisers had publicly told that the full line-up would have been released in January.

Questioned about the budget for the 2020 roster, Powell also stated: “The budget is good. I think we’re actually spending less than we did last year but that’s why it’s all about the negotiations and starting early; the earlier we start, the better it is. We were able to announce Koffee in December before she was nominated for a Grammy. If we had to negotiate with her now, I don’t know how much she would cost us so that’s why we start early and do our thing.”

Jamaican Reggae sensation Koffee, who celebrated her 20th birth on the 16th February, captured the award for Best Reggae Album at the recent 62nd Grammy Awards in the US held in January 2020, and is the only female and youngest solo artiste to do so.

Speaking about the line-up, the St.Kitts Music Festival official told: “We tried our best to make sure we have something for everybody and I think that’s evident today. We have locals, we have regional and international. We have for the young people, for the not so young, the mature; we have somebody for everybody.”

Furthermore, he is optimistic that the nighty 8PM-start concerts would keep within the desired cut off time frame after patrons would have gotten their money’s worth of performances.

“One of the things we focus on is production  and one of the reasons we have less is  that we try to cut off about 1:30-2:00 AM because we encourage other activities in other area such as The [Frigate Bay] Strip and other people who have fringe events and other after parties but it’s all about the production and we have a fantastic local production team who runs the show like nobody’s business and barring unforeseen circumstances, we’re positive that we’re going to  run through the artistes for them to express themselves fully for people to get their monies worth and still end at the time that we want to.”

Young Man Allegedly Used Victim’s Vehicle After Homicide

0

BASSETERRE, St.Kitts (Friday 14th February 2020) – A young man accused of committing the murder of 61-year Frederick Robinson of Boyd’s Village has been the subject of wide spread public discussion stemming from eyewitness claims that he had been using the victim’s vehicle after carrying out the criminal act.

Formally arrested and charged for the offence of Murder is 29-year-old is Clive Farara of the Village. He was charged on Tuesday 11th 2020 and is currently in police custody.

Police say Robinson was reported missing on Monday 3rd February 2020.

Four days after, via press release on Friday 7th February 2020, police informed that they had in their custody human remains found in a house in Boyd’s Village.

Reportedly, the discovery was made by police officers on the day before (6th February) sometime after 2 p.m.

The scene was processed by members of the Forensic Unit and the incident is currently being investigated by the Violent Crime Unit.

Police established, through their investigations, zoomed in on Robinson’s identity. An initial police statement indicated that tests would have been conducted to determine such.

A missing person’s flyer was not issued by police. However, this media house has gathered that one of Robinson’s relative placed such a related notice of concern regarding his whereabouts with a particular print media house last week.

“My dad Fredrick Robinson also goes by the name Jahman, 61 years old and was staying in St Kitts and unfortunately we haven’t heard from him since 11th December 2019. We have contacted the police but they are not responding or taking our concerns serious. This is unlike him and we are becoming very worried. He stays in the Boyd’s view housing project,” a statement in the Observer newspaper outlined.

It is alleged that the accused had been operating the deceased’s pick-up truck. Members of the public have been expressing shock in regard to such eyewitness claims.

Robinson is the second homicide victim in St.Kitts-Nevis for 2020 with both occurring on St.Kitts.
