All who are waiting for Timothy to do or say something about the Lindsay and the Shawn drama will wait long. Timothy cannot do a thing to Lindsay. Neither can he do a thing to Shawn or anyone in his Cabinet. From the time he famously said that not one of them in his Cabinet could hold a candle of correction to him, he declared for all to hear that it was a free for all at Government Headquarters. And Lindsay and all the rest of them know that.
How can Timothy ask Shawn about a quarter million dollars being spent to build a hut at Port Zante when he took a million dollars of taxpayers’ money to build a hut in his front yard? How can he try to discipline Lindsay for his disrespect to the police when he had a police officer arrested and locked up in uniform without bail, for driving the Leader of the Opposition? And while it might serve the Cabinet members well that regardless of what they do or say they are above reproach, we, the residents and citizens, are getting a raw deal.
I’m trying, but I find it really hard to picture a scenario that allows me to believe Shawn knew nothing about the quarter million dollar hut. Yes, I know that he has the text messages to prove it. But the lady had the roach too. And if Shawn wanted to make an example of those involved, certainly he would have taken to the airwaves to clear his name. But to date, I haven’t heard who lost their job or jobs over this overpriced hut.
I want to see how much longer users of the Bird Rock road will have to wait for it to be completed. It is very obvious that the government was only interested in widening the road by KFC so that road users would stop cursing about the spillover. The sidewalk that was built with taxpayers’ money have not been there for five years — they were ripped up at taxpayers’ expense, dumped at taxpayers’ expense and rebuilt at taxpayers’ expense, all to accommodate a private enterprise. Is it possible that somebody big was making a truck load of money from the lights so they didn’t give a rat’s arse whether or not the lights could be put on after they had been put up? It doesn’t seem as if people understand that no matter how much power they have, once they carry the bucket to the well every day, one day the bottom will drop out. We just have to stay woke.
