BASSETERRE, St. Kitts (Thursday 17th March 2022) — “The short point then is that the growth and development of the People’s Labour Party has always been helpful to the broader whole of Team Unity. Indeed every candidate under the Team Unity banner benefitted from the strength, organisation and the support of the People’s Labour Party.” So said Prime Minister and Leader of the PLP Dr. Timothy Harris during his party’s Convention 2022 press conference held on Wednesday 16th March 2022 at the Royal St. Kitts Hotel in Frigate Bay.
Harris said the PLP gave support to all constituencies in St. Kitts and Nevis: “In all constituencies, we were there — canvassers, indoor agents, outdoor agents — because we believe in unity. We used all of our resources to advance the cause of Unity and where others were weak, we made them strong.” Harris continued: “For us, it has always been more than party, even more than unity. It has always been about what is best for our country of St. Kitts and Nevis, and that is why we have worked so hard. I will never look back with regret. I did what was necessary as citizen and as the leader of Team Unity to advance the cause of my country.”
