Young Man Shot During Argument

 BASSETERRE, St. Kitts (SUNDAY 18TH MARCH, 2018)-A young was shot and injured yesterday morning (Saturday) after an argument with another young man in Stapleton Village, St. Peter’s Parish

The victim is 24-year-old Ricardo ‘Ricky’ Jeffers of Lower Monkey Hill of that parish.

Police investigations so far have revealed that at about 9:00 a.m. Jeffers got into an argument with another person then a fight ensued resulting in this attempted murder case which is being investigated by officers from the Violent Crime Unit.

Reports indicate that gunshots were heard at some point during the fight and Jeffers began to run away when he was shot once in his side.

Reportedly, he was taken to the J.N.F Hospital where he was being treated for his injury and is listed as being in a stable condition.

Police say the area was processed by the Crime Scene Unit and two persons were taken into police custody in relation to the incident.

Investigations into the matter are ongoing. Persons with information regarding this incident are urged to contact the Violent Crime Unit at the Basseterre Police Station at 465-2241 or their nearest police station.

This latest shooting takes places after the recorded murder of 41-year-old man Glenville Francis of Newton Ground and the attempted murder of 35-year-old Hanibal Bassue of Taylor’s Village, both attacked last night in their respective communities.
