The Labour Spokesman is the organ of the St. Kitts-Nevis Trades & Labour Union. It has been published from Masses House in Basseterre since 1957, and appears weekly on Fridays.
Its motto — Sound Speech that Cannot be Condemned — has stood at the head of the paper since the beginning, and its purpose has not changed: to report the working life of St. Kitts and Nevis, to carry the business of the union and the movement to the membership, and to keep a record that outlasts the week it was printed in.
What We Publish
Local and national news, politics, workers’ and union affairs, editorial comment, regional and international coverage, sport, business, health and tourism. Each week’s full edition is available in the Digital Edition, and past editions are catalogued in the Archive.
Editorial Independence
The newspaper is openly the voice of the workers’ movement, and does not pretend otherwise. Within that, reporting is expected to be accurate and fair, opinion is marked as opinion, and errors are corrected in the open. See Corrections & Complaints.
