BASSETERRE, St.Kitts (Tuesday 20th March 2018) –The Rotaract Club of St.Kitts is hailing its recently concluded local week of activities for the internationally observed World Rotaract Week(Monday 12th to Sunday 18th March) in commemoration of Rotaract’s 50th anniversary a success.

According to club Secretary Chrisantha Boon: “Rotaract Week 2018 was exceptional. The Rotaract Club of out did itself in recognition of this year’s golden anniversary. I’m super proud of each member who had their part, some bigger than some but regardless of such we came together as a club and collectively  ensured that we made the occasion an extra special one.”

She added: “Rotaract worldwide celebrates 50 years- dating back to 13th March 1968 when the first club was founded- and so Clubs were urged to go big for the festivities. It was quite interesting to see the activities across the world by clubs.”

Other doings for the week included a Rota-Represent-Wear Your Pin Day’, a Blood Drive Awareness, food carton distribution to the needy, a whistle stop throughout the island and the launch of a mentorship programme at the Cayon High School.
