10. The Industrial Experts have also clearly stated that since Trade Unions protect workers interest, then the workers remain motivated and their economic, social political well being will be taken care of.
We shall now look at how the Trade Unions help in accelerated pace of economic development in many ways. Below please find a few examples of how the Trade Unions help to accelerate the pace of economic development:
· By helping in the recruitment and selection of workers.
· By including discipline among the workforce.
· By enabling settlement of industrial dispute in a rational manner.
· By helping social adjustments, workers have to adjust themselves to the new working conditions, the new rules and policies. Workers coming from different backgrounds may become disorganized, unsatisfied and frustrated. The Trade Unions help them to such adjustment.
· Trade Unions leaders are very mindful that they are a part of society and as such always take into consideration the national integration as well.

The truth of the matter is that the St. Kitts-Nevis Trades & Labour Union has always taken into consideration the national integration ever since it was officially founded and registered in 1940.

Finally, we shall now look at a few important social responsibilities of the Trade Unions.

The Trade Unions by promoting and maintaining national integration, by reducing the number of industrial disputes, which also include:

1. Incorporating a keen sense of corporate social responsibility in all workers.
2. One of the most important policies by achieving industrial peace.

As time is of the utmost importance, we shall stop here for today, but will continue by looking at the role of Trade Unions in industrial relations.
