Tourist Dies in Boat Accident

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts (MARCH 2018) – Police on Nevis are investigating the circumstances surrounding “a freak” boat accident which claimed the life of a male tourist which took place yesterday (Saturday).

Dead is 24-year-old Keryan Grimault Queret of France.

According to the authorities, the tragic incident took place shortly after 4:00 PM on Saturday 24th February in the waters off Four Seasons in the Pinney’s Beach area.

It is understood that the propeller of the boat may have mauled the tourist who was in the water snorkeling.

Eyewitnesses say that the victim was swimming outside of the safe zone area and was apparently hit by the propeller of the vessel and his body mutilated.

He was said to be visiting his parents who reside at Cliff Dwellers, Nevis.

The boat, which is said to be owned Wincent Perkins and was at the time being operated by Cameron Aaron, was transporting some guests to the nearby Four Seasons Resort after an excursion when the fatal incident occurred.

Investigations are ongoing.
