* AN EARTHQUAKE WITH A PRELIMINARY MAGNITUDE OF 8.5 has occurred along the Leeward Islands chain, causing the subsequent threat of a tsunami, generating possible waves of 3 feet above sea level. Persons living or currently along the coastline are asked to undertake precautionary measures. 

  * BASED ON THE PRELIMINARY EARTHQUAKE PARAMETERS… WIDESPREAD 

    HAZARDOUS TSUNAMI WAVES ARE POSSIBLE ALONG THE LEEWARD ISLANDS.

* HAZARDOUS TSUNAMI WAVES FROM THIS EARTHQUAKE ARE EXPECTED WITHIN THE NEXT HALF HOUR (30 MINS) ALONG THE COASTS OF SAINT KITTS NEVIS AND OTHER LEEWARD ISLANDS.
