Team Unity Government – A colourful Propaganda Government

At the time of the formation to contest the 2015 General Elections, the members of Team Unity realized the enormity of the task it had to face, and so the Team decided to employ certain means and methods to deceive the electorate into believing that a Team Unity Government, rather than a Labour Party Government, would provide untold benefits and pleasures for the ordinary man and woman on the street.

Team Unity decided that as one of its plans to get the rid of Dr. Douglas and his Labour Party Government, Team Unity would declare that the Basseterre High School on Victoria Road is vastly contaminated and completely unfit to be used as a school.

No competent body or organization had found the Basseterre High School to be contaminated, yet still the members of Team Unity and their supporters went about declaring the Basseterre High School to be contaminated and accusing the Labour Party Government of being careless and care-free with the health and welfare of the students at the school.

Having succeeded in fooling the electorate and winning the elections, Team Unity could not continue to use the Basseterre High School. So the members of Team Unity told the public that they would build a new school.

But Team Unity had no land and could find no suitable location on which to site the brand new school. The Team Unity was in a jam and had to hold onto what it could get. The government therefore made it known that it would build the new school on lands in the area of Ponds-Needsmust. However that piece of land had been declared out of bounds as it contained the Basseterre Valley Aquifer.

The Team Unity Government has never behaved like a sensible, mature and responsible government. Instead the government has behaved as a lying irresponsible and secretive government.

Team Unity has made a mess of the Ministry of Health, put the Hospital staff in confusion and terminated the services of our well-beloved CMO Dr Patrick Martin for reasons which the government is afraid and ashamed to tell the public.

The Team Unity Government has been accused of conducting an illegal Stem Cell Research Project at the Hospital. It has been said that Dr. Patrick Martin, like a first class public servant, closed down the illegal activity that was in operation at the Hospital and for his good deed his services were terminated. He was sacked.

The Team Unity Government miss-used the grant that was received from Venezuela to compensate the Sugar Workers, (who were already compensated) who lost their jobs due to the closure of the Sugar Industry in 2005.

Because of Team Unity’s greed and grudge the Team reduced our Citizenship by Investment Programme from being the number one programme in the region to being the number four.
Citizens of this country are ashamed to admit to citizens of other countries that they are citizens of St. Kitts and Nevis. Our country has been accused of not abiding the rules and regulations of internal Law and Order. St. Kitts and Nevis has accused of protecting and accommodating Chinese nationals who were seeking refuge from Interpol.

The Team Unity Government is a colourful propaganda Government. It promised the electorate to provide all the good things of life on becoming Government. Team Unity has not been able to do so. All that Team Unity has been able to provide for the people is a lot of colourful propaganda.
