Basseterre, St. Kitts (Thursday 7th December, 2017)– The St. Kitts-Nevis National Carnival has kicked into overdrive with the fresh 2017/18 albums release by two top local bands namely the Nu Vybes Band International, also known as the Sugar Band and also the Small Axe Band, the self-acclaimed Sweetest Band in The World.
One of the exciting traditions each year is the practice of persons being glued to radio stations listening live interviews of their respective bands release.
Some bands also go the extra mile for their fans and broadcast a live video stream.
Sugar Band released on Saturday 2nd December on Freedom FM 106.5 with host Michelle ‘Sweet Sister Sensia’ Stokes, making them they first band to do so.
As the band celebrates 30 years of music, the album is dubbed ‘Since 1987’ and comprises of ten (10) tracks.
The album features tracks such as Lit and Boss Lady.
The Small Axe Band was the second band to release their album some four days after (Wednesday 6th December) on ZIZ Radio with host St.Clair ‘Chico’ Guishard.
The seven (7) track album is dubbed ‘Scrabble’.
The title track ‘Scrabble’ and ‘Sugar Daddy’ are two of the hits on the album.
As this exciting time for the Carnival Season continues, Kollision Band Teflons is scheduled to release tomorrow, Saturday 9th on Freedom FM 106.5 at 1:00 PM.
Their 2017 /18 album is called “Revolution”.
GM Addix are still awaiting word from the Grandmasters Band as they have not yet set an official date to release their album. However, it is reported that they will drop the album before next week.
