DRR Lashley Hails Visit To SKN Successful

BASSETERRE, St.Kitts– District Rotaract Representative (DRR), Kezra Lashley has labelled his recent business trip to St.Kitts and Nevis a fruitful one.

“It was really a productive trip I believe and it was really great meeting all the Rotaractors of St.Kitts and Nevis so I thank you very much again for welcoming me,” he commented during an interview shortly before his flight on Sunday 15th October.

Lashley is a member of the Rotaract Club of Piarco found at the University of West Indies (UWI) in his homeland of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago.

His trip spanned four (4) days- Thursday 12th October to Sunday 15th October.

Shortly after his arrival which was day one, Lashley attended a meeting of the Rotary Club of St.Kitts whereby he “learnt a lot about the club and what they are doing. They are very active.”

Additionally, later that day he held a session with Interact Club at the Basseterre High School.

“It’s good to see that the Rotary family is alive and well from that young age.”

On the following day (Friday), he participated in a community service porject at the Seven Day Adventist School which saw the cleaning up a vegetable garden started by the Rotaract Club of St.Kitts.

“It was a lot of work and it was really enjoyable seeing all of the Rotaractors coming together and committed to seeing the project through,” said Lashley.

Then on Saturday 14th October, he took part in a community service project spearheaded by the Rotaract Club of Nevis as he did a symbolic hand over of toiletries and other items to the Flamboyant Nursing Home in Nevis.

About that outing, Lashley had this to say: “We learnt a lot from the residents there and we also saw the hard working staff who are really passionate about what they do and that was really good to see as well.”
