BASSETERRE, St.Kitts (Saturday 22nd September 2018)– An autopsy on Friday confirmed that Cayon resident Paul Mitchum drowned on that day he experienced difficulty at sea during the past holiday period.
A post-mortem performed by Resident Pathologist Dr. Adrian Nunez has reported that the cause of death was as a result of Asphyxia Due to Drowning.
60-year-old Mitchum encountered difficulty while at sea on Monday 17th September.
He was pulled out of the water by a family member and was unresponsive.
Emergency Medical Service (EMS) Technicians were summoned to the scene and their efforts to revive him were futile.
That deadly beach outing took place on a national holiday for the observance of National Heroes Day which fell on a Sunday this year.
