Armed Robbery: Female Bartender Attacked, Customers Targeted

BASSETERRE, St.Kitts (Tuesday 16th October 2018)- A female bartender was struck about her upper body, customers were targeted and a sports bar robbed in the aftermath of a robbery involving five armed men in Basseterre on the night of Friday 12th October.

Police are investigating that incident which took place on the Irishtown Bay Road just after 11 PM.

Investigations so far have revealed that several persons were inside the bar when five (5) armed masked men entered and ordered everyone on the floor.

The assailants then robbed them of personal belongings. They also took a large sum of money from the cash register before fleeing the scene. It was also reported that one of the assailants hit the bartender across her head.

Police investigations into the matter are ongoing.
