BASSETERRE, St.Kitts– Rising national artiste 26-year-old Rahsaun ‘R B The Mayor’ Bass has officially released his newest jam with an official music video for a dancehall song called ‘Woman Crush’.

On Sunday night (18th June), fans and other supporters including family members and friends assembled at Boozie’s Bar located on the Frigate Bay Strip for the launch of the video which had a preview critique before being showcased publicly.

Two weeks before, on Sunday 4th June, members of the media were among the specially invited guests to be treated to a private showing of  the ‘Woman Crush’ video  at the Mattingley Heights residence of the artiste’s manager  Romeo Parris of  Kactus Entertainment so as to provide feedback for tweaking from the suggestions coming out of that get together.

R B The Mayor, who is known for putting out tunes in the Hip-Hop genre is now exploring Reggae, Dancehall and Soca.

As a bonus, during Sunday’s event, the audience was treated to a sneak peek preview of a Soca song called Caribbean Vybes.

Following the official release of the music video produced by Dason Fraser of ISI Visuals, this media house interacted with a few of the attendees.

Manager Parris commented: “We took the advice of everybody, including you the members of the media, and made recommendations and some changes. I still was looking for a little more change but I think people liked the energy nonetheless. The good thing is that the distributor in Germany (of Wolf Records), before the changes, he said he liked it but I didn’t. I like what’s there now …it’s suited for Europe and those kind of persons who wants a slow Caribbean beat.”

He also applauded RB The Mayor for having a good transition from a rap into Reggae.

The artiste himself shared feedback from the song and music video launch event saying: “I feel good because the surrounding was very receptive and they seemed to like it a lot so I feel very good about that.”

RB The Mayor is said to have emerged on the St.Kitts music scene in 2015 with his hit single ‘Straight Outta St.Kitts’, produced by BobT of Hey Boii Entertainment.

As gathered, in October 2015, the video (produced by ISI Visuals) on YouTube received over 1000 views in two days. Additionally, it won the “Best Video” at the MSECA   (Mad Squad Entertainers and Celebrities Awards held in December 2015.
