Some Examples Of How Garlic Fights Cold And The FluIn the words of Mrs. W. G. Waters, “Garlic used as it should be used is the soul, the divine essence, of cooking. The cook who can employ it successfully will be found to possess the delicacy of perception, the accuracy of judgment, and the dexterity of hand which go to the formation of a great artist.”

Debatably, to fall ill should be a matter of shame for anyone, because illness implies some error or other. He /she, whose body and mind are perfectly sound, should never suffer from illness.

It was fully believed by our forefathers that an evil thought is also an indication of illness. Therefore, we should guard ourselves against evil thoughts.

In addition, in these challenging days we all are fully aware that diseases are numerous, but so also are the physicians and their treatments. Anyway, if we regard all diseases as one and consider our Savior Jesus Christ as the one and only physician, we are free from all of our troubles.

However, I find it very strange that we should be running after physicians and doctors who themselves die, but quietly forget our Savior Jesus Christ who is eternal and is an unfailing physician.

What a fine thing it would be if we understood this and place our faith and reliance in our Savior Jesus Christ and patiently put up with whatever ailment come our way and lived in real peace.

Nonetheless, we shall now look at some examples of how garlic cloves fights cold and the flu.

It is now common knowledge that garlic cloves have been used for centuries as both a food ingredient and a medicine. In fact, it is proven that eating garlic cloves can and do provide a wide variety of health benefits. These include reduced heart disease risk, improved mental health and enhance immune function.

We will now look at how garlic cloves are particularly protective against the common cold and the flu.

Let us start by by looking at how garlic cloves can help boost immune function.

The Nutritionists and the Dietitians have clearly stated that garlic cloves contains compounds that help the immune system fight germs. It is also common knowledge that a whole garlic clove contains a compound called Alliin (Alliin is a sulfoxide derived from cysteine, primarily responsible for the aroma of freshly chopped garlic clove).

Research has clearly shown that when garlic clove is crushed or chewed, this compound turns into Allicin (with ac), the main active ingredient in garlic clove.

It is also acknowledge by health providers that Allicin contains sulfur, which gives garlic clove its distinctive smell and taste. However, it is also believe that Allicin is unstable, so it quickly converts to other sulpher-containing compounds though to give garlic clove its medicinal properties.

Moreover, these compounds have been shown to boost the disease-fighting response of some types of white blood cells in the human body when they encounter viruses such as the viruses that cause the common cold or flu.

The plain truth is: Garlic clove can be crushed, chewed or sliced to produce Allicin, which is thought to give garlic clove its immune-boosting properties.

We shall now look at how garlic clove can help to prevent colds and the flu.

Over the years, garlic clove has shown promise as a treatment for preventing colds and the flu. In the past, many studies have clearly shown that garlic clove reduces the risk of becoming sick in the first place, as well as how long you stay sick. It can also reduce the severity of symptoms.

In fact it has been said that one of those studies gave one hundred and forty six (146) healthy volunteers either garlic clove supplements or a placebo for three months. It was revealed that the garlic clove group had a 63% lower risk of getting a cold, and their colds were also 70% shorter as well.

Again, another study found that colds were on average 61% shorter for subjects who ate 2. 56 grams of aged garlic clove extract per day, compared to a placebo (Placebo is a substance containing no medication and prescribed or given to reinforce a patient’s expectation to get well.

An active substance or preparation used as a control in an experiment or test to determine the effectiveness of a medicinal drug. Their colds were also less severe.

Our fore parents fully believed that if you often get sick with a cold or flu, eating garlic clove can definitely help reduce your symptoms or prevent your illness entirely.

However, a review of evidence by scientists found reveal that many of the studies investigating the effects of garlic clove on the common cold or flu were of very poor quality.

Moreover, they also shared that it is also unknown if you need to take garlic clove constantly, or if it also work as a short-term treatment when you start getting sick.

The plain truth is: Regularly eating garlic clove may and could help prevent the common cold or the flu. If you get sick, eating garlic clove will definitely reduce the severity of your symptoms and help you recover much faster.

As time is of the utmost importance, we shall stop here for today, but will continue where we left off by looking at how to maximize the benefits of garlic clove.

As I end here for today, I leave you with a quote by An Unknown Author, a poem by W. G. S. 1995, a recipe, and a garlic song by Black Happy.

“Shallots are for babies; onions are for men; garlic is for heroes.” – An Unknown Author.

Garlic Poem

By: W. G. S. 1995.
Since garlic’s a trochee, it’s technically fine,At the start of an otherwise iambic line,But on one received truth you may safely depend,It’s no sort of word to be used at the end.
I’ve searched high and low for a suitable rhyme,If only, let’s face it, one solitary time;I even ate garlic, for some inspiration,And the outcome of that was complete isolation.
So the man who chose this for a subject, I fear,Is either a sadist, or has a tin ear;I found not one word that would rhyme well with garlic; That wasn’t appallingly Salvador Dalic.
I didn’t submit it …

Garlic SongBy: Black Happy.

Garlic makes my feet stink, yeah!I got a line from a good friend,You call him weird, I call him soul,He told me what has been going on,Things are getting tough and we gotta go,The time has come to get serious ‘bout’,The face of all that we see,I told him this I said “Hey soul!”,Start listening to me!” I told him,”“Dog you smell like fish,”Garlic makes my feet stink.

He got my point; we had a good laugh,We laughed until my belly hurt,I’m not the Savior, and I will never be,But that don’t change my worth,He stared moving, he started circling,I heard him whisper in my face,“One on one,” he said, “That is the only way,”You and I will change this place. “He told me,”“Dog you smell like fish,”Garlic makes my feet stink.
(A little bass a little drum a little percussion)Horns! (A bunch o’ times)

My favorite color may be brown,My favorite color may be blackMy favorite color may be red,My favorite color may have nothing to do with it,I think the problem’s exorcised,I think the problem’s compromised,He showed me all that’s wrong with me,Our parents made some big mistakes,Our parents really screwed this place,And now the cleaning left to us,We are the ones who have to scrape,We are the ones who have to make,A change for the better!
I’m still reading tilt, mama,Garlic makes my feet stink.
