BASSETERRE, St.Kitts (Friday 9th October 2020)– Police investigations into the sudden death of a male resident of St.Peter’s Parish- who passed away in a home outside his community-have determined such being caused by a heart attack.
Dead is 56-year-old Alphonso Ezekiel Collins, better known by the nickname ‘Rusty’, of Stapleton Village.
The Police are investigating the death of a man in the Newtown area on October 03, 2020. The individual has been identified as 56-year-old Alphonso Ezekiel Collins of St. Peters Village.
According to police, sometime after 6 p.m. on Saturday 3rd October 2020, report was received of a sudden death in Newtown.
Reportedly, upon arrival officers found Collins’s motionless body inside a house at Pond Road.
Early investigations had revealed that Collins had collapsed. The Emergency Medical Service (EMS) was called and he was unresponsive when examined by the EMS personnel. The District Medical Doctor arrived and pronounced him dead.
An autopsy was performed on Ezekiel Collins’ body two days later on Monday 5th October 05, by Resident Pathologist Dr. Adrian Nunez concluded that death was as a result of Acute Myocardial Infarction (Heart Attack).
